I would love nothing more than to be able to wear pretty floral dresses, sandals, or fun-printed shorts while strolling a sprawling garden or having brunch on an outdoor patio right now – but there’s still piles of snow outside that are taller than me – so those Springtime fantasies are going to have to be put on the back burner while I wait for the warmer days allegedly happening in the weeks ahead to come and melt some of the slush and ice away.
In the meantime, my current wardrobe still very much consists of comfy sweaters, fleece-lined leggings and tall boots to make my way through the snow without freezing solid whenever I try to run errands or simply get some fresh air during the day.
But I’ve been especially loving this dark purple, over-sized and high-collared sweater I had been gifted during the holidays as of late because the rhinestones on the front and along the shoulders gives it a fun pop of sparkle that makes even the most dreariest of late-Winter backdrops look glamorous.
I wore this one in the aftermath of one of our many recent blizzards when checking out the snow accumulations in both Deerfield and Turner’s Falls, pairing it with the aforementioned fleece-lined leggings and boots – but this one can absolutely be dressed up with decorative tights, fancier shoes and some equally sparky earrings if you needed something warm and cozy for a more formal occasion. I’ve definitely worn it that way since receiving it!

This one is going to get plenty more wear in the weeks, possibly months ahead since we’ve got more snow and rain on the way, but my Springtime wardrobe is on standby – waiting for the signal to come and enter the rotation in my closet whenever it can – and I’m so looking forward to it!
