The week before Thanksgiving – to me, anyway – has always been the unofficial beginning to the Christmas season. Even if you’re not ready to trim the tree or climb up onto your roof to start affixing your 25,000 imported Italian twinkle light ala Clark Griswold just yet, it’s time to get them on standby to set up in the 24-48 hours after the Turkey Day leftovers are put away in the refrigerator.
So with that in mind, I’ve already started leaning into my more festive options for outerwear and cute, cozy tops to sport at holiday functions and parties – including this red, button-up cardigan from A New Day, which features a ton of cute little red bows all over it – which is perfect for someone like me who enjoys looking like a Christmas present throughout November and December.

I wore this over the weekend with my white turtleneck and blue flared jeans for a brunch session with my friend Dan and his family, and matched it with my red Kate Spade satchel bag that I had highlighted here on ‘Coffee & Chiffon‘ during the Summer – although I removed the sardine bag charm while I’m on the prowl for something more holiday or Winter-appropriate for the next few weeks and into the colder months.
But my favorite way to accessorize this cardigan? A bright, red lip – with mine coming courtesy of GIVENCHY.
I felt so festive and cheerful while out and about in this one, especially given that the backdrop of my morning (in Shelburne Falls) was already so beautifully decorated.
A little later on this week, I’m going to be sharing some of my favorite things from the month of November and recapping these last few weeks in their entirety, as is the holiday tradition!
