Hello from North Carolina, everyone! After a bizarre travel day consisting of delays, cancelations, and being re-routed all over the East Coast due to the (currently) ongoing government shutdown, I eventually made it into Raleigh this past Saturday evening – and only a couple hours later than my originally planned arrival time – for a few days spent with Andrew and the kids before the holiday season is upon us!
I’ll have plenty of adorable photos and stories to share in the coming days amid enjoying the still-gorgeous weather here and doing arts and crafts with the little ones, but I first wanted to do a quick rewind to kick off this week by revisiting a very comfortable, very cozy, and very seasonally appropriate sweater I wore a few days before I departed Massachusetts – especially now that my beloved New England Patriots have been doing so well this season and because my Sundays from now through Thanksgiving are spent planning/prepping the dinner menu with my mom over the phone while NFL games are playing on my TV in the background.
I picked up this lightweight, long-sleeved sweater by Mia & Tess while out and about earlier this Fall and have been wearing it throughout the season, typically with jeans and sneakers – although I only just wore it with my black workout leggings while Dan and I were taking a stroll through Historic Deerfield in-between working and running our respective errands since it was a beautiful day to take a quick break to catch up.

And the UGG-style boots are actually a gift from my mom after I sustained a minor but still healing injury to a couple of my toes in October. The insides are super plush, fuzzy, and spacious, which has made walking much more comfortable while my foot is on the mend!
I figure I have until the Super Bowl to get as much wear as possible out of this sweater before I’ll eventually have to pack it away ’til next season – but I’m on the lookout for other sports-themed ones to wear in the meantime!
