My Fall Skincare/Hair Care Routine!

It’s about that time of the season where I start to go through my skin and hair essentials to determine what needs are being met as the climate/temperatures start to change and what needs require a little more TLC. Although we had what felt like a delayed start to the Autumn season this year, with scorching hot days lasting well into early October – I’ve since had to start putting my heat in my apartment on at night and remote starting my car in the mornings to clear frost off of the windshield.

Thankfully, any little hiccups with my complexion or my curls that typically pop up around the time we start setting the clocks back are easily fixed by incorporating a couple of extra steps and/or products into my routine, be it daily or weekly when I’m having a stay-at-home “Spa Night.”

Today, I’m sharing those extra steps and products in my seasonal installment of my skin/hair care routine! As always, I’ve linked to the products directly for anyone who may want to give them a try or check them out – and I’ve also included quick and easy links to past installments of these posts for anyone who wants to take a peek!

For my Fall skincare this year, my regimen didn’t require too much tweaking since the products I’ve been actively using since the Spring and Summer have continued to give me good results. However, with the air becoming more crisp, I have to be mindful of the toll it takes in terms of drying me out – especially if I’m going in and out of heated buildings and into the cold outdoors multiple times per day (which I tend to do.)

I’ve found any dry patches or tight spots around my nose, my eyes or my lips are easily resolved with different sheet masks – whether I put them on at night while I’m reading or watching a movie, or even when I’m working from home and don’t have to be on a Zoom call. Just 15-20 minutes a couple times a week has been a lifesaver!

And for my hair care this year, this one product has been my go-to pretty much every day after my stylist recommended it to me as I was preparing to head back to the desert this past September. Knowing that Las Vegas would still be surface-of-the-sun-levels of hot upon my arrival, I had asked about leave-in conditioners or masks that would protect both my curls and my color from becoming a frizzy, dried-out mess.

My stylist swore by this styling cream which doubles as a rich and deeply moisturizing leave-in conditioner, and I haven’t looked back since. My curls are soft, bouncy, shiny and silky – with minimal tangling or split ends since I use it all the time. I buy this in bulk each and every time I get my roots touched up and have even started picking it up for my friends/family who have asked about it, too!

And that concludes another installment – and the last one of 2025 if you can believe it! Of course, I’ll be putting together another compilation come Wintertime, so if you have any recommendations for products I should try out before then, please drop me a line or leave a comment with the details!

I’m heading to North Carolina this weekend for a few days, but I’ll have plenty of posts to share come Monday morning.

Enjoy your weekend everyone! I’ll see you all then!
