OOTD: The Pumpkin Queen

Greetings from Columbus, Ohio, everyone! After a very long drive that began Wednesday morning, I got into town just in time to celebrate not only what would have been my dear friend Kelsey’s tenth wedding anniversary, but her incredible son’s upcoming sixth birthday with a party planned for a little later on today before I’m scheduled to head back to New England! It’s been a lot of hours in the car!

I’ll have plenty of pictures and a recap to share next week after I get back home (and sleep for a good twelve to sixteen hours!) of course, but first I wanted to talk about a purchase I’d recently made in Newport, Rhode Island and finally show off the pumpkin corduroy pants I’d fallen in love with at Kiel James Patrick.

I had recently worn these out while grabbing lunch with Dan following his return from an extended stay in Florida with his family, and as we caught up about his trip and about our upcoming Fall plans, he happened to notice the light outside was perfect for a walk through the forest and the remaining leaves.

I had paired the pants with a simple black tee, dark green wedge boots and a fluffy brown wool sweater to keep things as cozy and casual as possible – so I was game!

These pants are super soft, comfortable and very cute, and I’m looking forward to wearing them for some Halloween events I have lined up in the coming weeks – and maybe even for Thanksgiving when we get to it – although I feel like I might need something with a slightly stretchier waistband given how much food my mom whips up for our family!

I hope you all have a great weekend ahead, and I’ll see you all when I get back home!
