The end of September/beginning of October is usually around the time that I go through my current makeup collection to see what needs to be refilled, restocked, or is set to expire and needs to be tossed – and when I start picking out some new products to experiment and play around with for the season!
This year, while throwing out nearly empty eyeshadow palettes and more-than-empty lipstick tubes after daily use and reapplications throughout the Summer, I had a very specific idea of the color scheme I wanted to go with for the Fall. Although I’ve never been afraid of wearing reds and oranges on my lips and lids leading into the holidays, I could feel myself gravitating towards more gold, browns, greens and grays this time around. Those shades, after all – really pop when they’re next to some pumpkins or foliage – and I’m around those things often!
I turned to some trusted brands for this Fall’s collection, and have a mix of both budget beauty finds and some pricier, more “high end” splurges – but I love them all equally and I’m excited to share them – and I’ll have some swatches at the end of the post.
And for anyone who would like to check out any previous collections, I’ve got them linked here!

While I’m still using the same brands of foundation/tinted moisturizer and bronzing drops I’d shared in my Fall 2024 collection and Summer 2025 collection, respectively – my highlighter was on it’s last leg and begging for me to show it mercy as I was desperately dragging my brush along a nearly empty pan for days/weeks as the Summer was winding down.
For the Fall, I turned to my beloved Fenty Beauty and a more golden version of a highlighter I’d used in the past and absolutely loved. The Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in the shade ‘Trophy Wife’ is stunning – giving me a beautiful shimmer along my cheekbones and nose without overpowering my complexion or making me look radioactive. It’s super complimentary to my red hair and blue eyes, and goes great with the amount of neutral outfits and accessories I wear during the chillier months!

In keeping up with my golden goals this season, I opted to replace my nearly depleted caliray palette from the Summer with the super swanky Golden Palette from Natasha Denona, which is filled with 15-shades of both matte and shimmery variations of golds, browns, and nudes – all of which are buttery soft and apply so smoothly. I snapped photos of this one right after I bought it because I wanted to dive into playing with the colors as soon as possible – and I’ve been loving the looks I’ve been creating so far!

I’ve also been wearing more eyeliner this Fall, having found two drug store formulas that are long-lasting and easy to apply. The first, from the Sephora Collection, is a super soft and waterproof cream pencil in a shimmery dark green and pops when glided on next to the golden eyeshadow.

The second, from NYX Cosmetics, is a fine-point waterproof liquid eyeliner in a sparkly gray that does not budge at ALL – and is so simple to apply that I even surprised myself when I first started using it! I’m already looking to get a few different shades of this one the next time I stop by the drug store!

And since I needed to replenish my mascara, I decided to try something a little different and went with the “Big Ego” mascara from Tarte. The vegan formula lengthens, thickens, and instantly-dramatizes lashes – which is one of my favorite looks to have this time of year since I’m able to wear more makeup without it immediately sweating off.
And I just adore the Barbie pink tube, too!

For lips this season, I’ve been keeping it simple since I’ve been going-bold-or-going-home with both my eyes and my highlighter, opting to use more neutral tints and balms. The first, a lip tint I had written about back in May and have restocked twice since then – applies as a deep, dark purple – eventually revealing the true color underneath after it’s peeled or wiped off. The best part? It stays in place for hours.
I’m still using the shade “Whimsical”, and will probably keep using it right through the Winter!

And for glosses/balms, I’ve been living for and loving the Fresh Kiss Glossy Balms from ColourPop – particularly in the shade “Caramel Latte” – which smells delicious (and doesn’t taste bad, either!) and deeply hydrates my lips.
I really want to try the whole line eventually!

That’s just about it for everything new that has made it into my makeup bag this Fall – but as always – I’ve got swatches of each item (sans mascara) for those of you who may be wondering about pigment/finish on any of the products discussed above.
Let’s take a look!

As always, if you have any recommendations for products or brands I should check out this season, or that you think would go nicely in my pending Winter collection next year – absolutely leave a comment or drop me a line anytime!
Next week, I’ll have another installment of my “Local Loves” series, a look back on some fun and kind-of-spontaneous plans from this upcoming weekend, and an Autumnal appetizer recipe I’ve been obsessing over in recent weeks!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
