OOTD: Autumnal Academia

We’re slowly but surely stepping into the sweet spot of Fall-ish weather here in New England. While the afternoons can be, and usually are, still pretty hot outside, the mornings and evenings have been cooler and crisper – and I’m now needing to grab a sweatshirt or a light jacket to keep with me when I venture out in case I get a little too cold.

Pretty soon, the entire day will feel like that, and I personally can’t wait! I’ve been ready to manifest all things Autumn since September 1st, and during a recent outing to Keene to bid a fond farewell to one of my favorite restaurants that is closing for good this coming weekend, I decided it was time to break out the riding boots and some plaid overalls I’d picked up when the season began calling to me like a Siren back near the end of August to get more into the spirit of things.

These overalls (which fits more like a dress!) has a side zipper and both a stretchy waist and stretchy shoulder straps so it can be adjusted for maximum comfort. I wore this over a plain black t-shirt and some black shorts, which were well hidden throughout the evening.

As I’d mentioned, I donned my favorite pair of faux-leather brown riding boots that I’ve owned for a couple of years now since they’re so comfortable and are still in tip-top shape. I also swapped out my bright red Kate Spade bag I’d been toting around with me all Summer for this suede brown purse I’d recently had cleaned since it matches more of my Fall clothing and accessories. I’m still amazed that pretty much everything I own can fit inside of it!

I’m really looking forward to sharing more of my favorite transitional pieces and more of my full-blown Fall wardrobe in the coming weeks/months ahead. It’s truly one of my favorite seasons for fashion and accessories, and I have some new stuff I can’t wait to wear and share with you all!

Have a great weekend ahead!
