Greetings from Las Vegas, Nevada – and Happy September 1st! These last couple of days have been spent with plenty of sunshine (and I do mean plenty of it!) great food, visiting some of my favorite places in town, and getting absolutely spoiled by Troy. While I’ll have some photos and a recap to share a little later on this week, I thought it would be nice to kick off the unofficial beginning of the Fall season by writing about a fantastic and cozy little coffee shop back home in New England!
The Coffee Cubby in Manville, Rhode Island, was first brought to my attention when it was advertised on Instagram that they had developed their own version of the viral “Fluffy Seagull” Latte, made popular in Yarmouth, Massachusetts at The Lighthouse Keeper’s Pantry. Having enjoyed that very latte during an impromptu trip to the Cape at the beginning of Summer, but not feeling very motivated about re-doing the drive to/from there just to have it again – I decided to make the much shorter trip over state lines to Rhode Island to give theirs a try, instead.
The exterior of The Coffee Cubby is super cute, and I adore their signage/logo. Once inside, and after I seeing the extensive menu of creative seasonal drinks, including an iced Pumpkin Loaf latte that incorporated cookie butter, pumpkin sauce, and cold foam into a creamy and dreamy-looking beverage that just screamed “Autumn!” – I knew I had to have one and that I was going to be hooked on this shop moving forward.
Founded in 2013 and now under new management with a great social media presence, The Coffee Cubby offers a ton of unique drinks – like coffee buckets! – and baked goods. Their staff was friendly, fast and efficient – and even though there isn’t a ton of room on the inside of the shop to sit and spread out (it is a cubby, after all!), they have a lovely outdoor seating area that’s perfect for the Summer-to-Fall transition!
My latte was absolutely delicious, and something I would order many more times over the next few months!
As much fun as I’m having in Vegas right now, I’m thinking The Coffee Cubby might be one of the first stops I make this coming weekend when I arrive back home!
