I’m sure I’ve mentioned this multiple times in the past, but September 1st, for me, as always marked the beginning of the Fall season – regardless of the weather or still-scorching-hot-temperatures outside. It’s the beginning of the “ber” months and therefore it’s okay for me to start indulging in pumpkin spiced-everything and making sure any place I spend any considerable amount of time in smells overwhelmingly like cinnamon and vanilla.
But I do love the Summer so, so much, too! That’s why these last few days/weeks of August have been all about holding onto that seasonal feeling as tightly as possible. While I’ve spent so much of Summer 2025 at the beach so far, I recently thought I’d stop by another part of the state that is equally as gorgeous this time of year (even if there isn’t an ocean in sight!) and take a day trip to hang out in the Berkshires for lunch, shopping and sight-seeing.
I dressed super casual for the occasion, with my distressed denim shorts, my Sperry boat shoes, and this Aperol Spritz printed sweater vest (because it’s starting to get chilly at night!) The vest, one of those impulsive and late night online purchases I make when I’m half-asleep – ending up getting a ton of compliments while I was out and about!

Another fun feature to the top is that there is a layer of light brown/gray screen printed on the inside on both the front and back of the woven material that prevents it from being see through – which is always helpful!
Next week, I’m going to be recapping a very fun weekend I have planned ahead in Rhode Island, as well as sharing a few of the items/products I especially loved this month before it’s time to bid farewell to August (and the Summer!) all together!
Have a great weekend, everybody!
