OOTD: Palm Pink

Nothing tops a sunny and hot beach day where the dress code goes right out the window and wearing a swimsuit cover-up is neither forbidden or frowned upon. I’m sure I’ve talked about wearing a number of my cover-ups out and about in posts from Summers’ past – even when I wasn’t anywhere near an ocean, lake, or swimming pool. They’re comfortable and can be quite chic when accessorized correctly.

So during a recent stop for tacos and piña colada up in Rye, New Hampshire – I opted to even out my tan lines and keep it simple in this pink, lightweight and stretchy tube style dress with black palm trees printed all over the front and back. A find for roughly $12 – and worth every penny!

And since I actually went wading into the water for a while in this one before I opted for the shade to reapply sunscreen, I just wore some black cat-eye sunglasses and grabbed my usual brown slide sandals (although I really should invest in a black pair, too!) There was no need to get super dressed up for lunch and some waves this time around.

I’m thinking of bringing this one to the Cape with me this coming weekend and maybe pairing it with a pair of heels or wedge sandals, and maybe some jewelry if the girls and I decide to get brunch or a nice dinner while we’re in town – but we’ll see!

I’ll share some photos over on MY INSTAGRAM if I do!
