“Hot summer nights, mid-July- when you and I were forever wild…”
I cannot believe that we’re getting ready to leap into August and, not too long after that, begin winding down the 2025 Summer season. What an incredible time of year this has been so far – with the month of July truly encapsulating all things beachy, coastal and carefree. It was a beautiful month filled with beautiful memories and the perfect wind-up to what is shaping up to be a very busy few weeks ahead!
But before I get into some of the details of my upcoming August, I first want to do a quick rewind and recap of July and all the travel, good food and even greater scenery that it was comprised of!
I had kicked off this past month in a similar fashion to Julys of the past by sharing my current makeup collection before almost immediately beginning my long Fourth of July Weekend. First, by visiting an absolute gem in Rye, New Hampshire for one of the most packed and affordable lobster rolls around – and then with days spent in Great Barrington, Massachusetts and Mystic, Connecticut.
However, while many of us were enjoying our July 4th celebrations, the same could not be said for parts of Texas. Following devastating flash floods, I compiled a list of organizations and relief resources who are actively helping those in the affected areas recover and rebuild. They’re still taking donations, if you want to help out or spread the word.
I stopped by the Hydrangea Festival on the Cape (and got to see some incredible classic cars while I did!), wrote about one of my favorite hidden pizza parlors, and even spent a little time back out in the Berkshires while the weather was holding up.
And, of course – I shared some recipes and some newer picks from my wardrobe, too! That’s a given each and every month.
But now with August just a couple of days ahead, it’s time to look forward – and at my calendar – which is filling up quickly. I’ve got trips to Salem, a weekend on the Cape with my girlfriends, then another in Newport with my mother, and so much more – which all leads up to me flying out to Las Vegas at the end of next month!
While I’m so excited for these last few weeks of Summer, I’m also so grateful for the month of July in it’s entirety. It’s been so much fun, and feels like it flew by. I wanted to give it a proper tribute before it’s gone!
