There’s a lot to talk about next Monday when I do my full write-up and recap of the month of June in all it’s hot and humid glory before we jump into July. The places I went! The food I ate! The outfits I wore! This month has been a series of such fun and spontaneous adventures, and I’m so excited to talk about all of them (including ones that just happened over the last couple of days!)
But before we get to that, and before we set off for our weekends ahead – it’s about that time for me to share all of the things I loved from June 2025 – be it impulse purchases, or gifts, or a couple of movies I was able to beat the heat to see in theaters in recent days/weeks. That’s right – it’s time for the latest installment of my monthly “Favorite Things” posts – and I’ve got quite a bit to share this time around!
As is tradition, I’ll be sharing photos and links of the tangible things first before I jump into some miscellaneous odds and ends that I also thoroughly enjoyed this month.
Let’s take a look!

Earlier this month, my favorite seaside Summer spot in Rye, New Hampshire – Kooks – launched some of their new seasonal merchandise, including shirts, hats, bumper stickers, etc. While grabbing another round of tacos and a smoothie during a weekend outing to the ocean, I knew I had to get my hands on their “Spicy Margs” hat as my go-to accessory for this time of year before it sold out.
Since then, this has been one of my favorite hat purchases of all time. It’s cute, comfy, and easily adjustable depending on what hairstyle I’ve got going on at any given time – and I love telling people about Kooks when they ask me about it! I’m ride or die for that place forever and ever!

This Summer, I am unapologetically obsessed with any and all things tomato red-colored or tomato-print, and when it came time to find a new handbag to take the place of my Winter/Spring one (that is long overdue for a cleanout!), I saw this bright red satchel from Kate Spade and immediately fell in love with it.
Although this purse is a little smaller than what I’d been carrying around daily in recent months, it still holds all the essentials securely – and it just looks so fun with pretty much everything I’ve been wearing this June! It also came with an adjustable strap that can be clasped on in order to turn it from a satchel to a cross-body, which will likely come in handy the next time I’m traveling!
Also? My mom gifted me the cute little sardine charm on it – and it’s so perfect.

Although I’m going to be sharing the updates and new editions to my Summertime makeup collection a little later on next week, right now I can share that I have been using this super hydrating (and not going to lie – super tasty!) watermelon lip mask from Trader Joe’s morning and night throughout these past few weeks.
This buttery soft formula has been a lifesaver for me, especially during the recent heatwave, where both my skin and hair took a beating as I struggled to stay cool and out of the soaring temperatures. With help from this mask, however – my lips never dried out, cracked, split or flaked. They stayed smooth and soft, which brought me some comfort while I barricaded myself in front of my air conditioner.
Best of all? A tub of this is only $5.99!

A couple of weeks ago while I was both accompanying and assisting Dan with his photo shoot at Gombo in Northampton, we had stopped by a couple of the neighboring shops before he began preparing to get his equipment set up. One of those was Spill The Tea Sis Apothecary on Main Street, and in-between sniffing the most beautiful candles and looking at some seriously cool and unique dĆ©cor – I spotted this bedazzled crab claw hairclip all by itself on a shelf.
Naturally, I had to take it home with me. It was just too cute not to buy. Since then, I’ve worn this while out with friends, to work, when visiting my mom, etc., and I can say with certainty that everyone who has noticed it has asked me where they can get one, too. We love a good seafood/nautical accessory here in New England!
Expect this little guy to make an appearance in an upcoming “Outfit of The Day” post this Summer!

This month saw me replenishing some of my must-have purse staples for the season, including hand lotion, Ibuprofen, and travel-sized sunscreen – but I also needed to get a couple of replacement hand sanitizers, as well – and I really love the Touchland spray formulas.
While I had grabbed a mango one that smells absolutely delicious, this lovely blue sandalwood one might be my favorite. It smells like the ocean (in a clean, refreshing way!) and hydrates my hands as it kills germs and bacteria on contact.
It’s been in my tomato red Kate Spade bag all month!

And finally, I’ve seen a lot of advertisements and have heard a lot of talk about Imaginary Authors fragrances, from their unique packaging to their unconventional perfume/candle selections – and while I wasn’t in the market for anymore perfume, a sample of their ‘Whiff of Waffle Cone’ fragrance changed my mind and I ordered a full-sized bottle on the spot.
This long-lasting formula has notes of vanilla, salted caramel, and sandalwood – and reminds me of buying fried dough on the boardwalk during Summertime beach days with my friends growing up. Being able to capture that memory and fragrance in a bottle is pretty impressive, and I’m excited to wear this more often throughout the season.
Also? Their packaging truly is incredible!
Now while that just about does it for the things that weren’t camera shy this month, a couple of other favorites need to be recognized, too!
– MOVIES/MUSIC/TELEVISION –
‘Dogma’ – The 25th Anniversary – Although the movie ‘Dogma’ isn’t a new favorite of mine by any means. I’ve enjoyed it since my pre-teens – it was really great being able to see it for the first time in theaters in a very long time as it celebrated it’s 25th anniversary (and Kevin Smith regaining the rights to it again!) It’s just as relevant, clever and funny as ever – and the ensemble cast, all of whom look like babies on-screen, truly is unforgettable.
’28 Years Later’ – I’m sure I’ve referenced ’28 Days Later’ as one of my favorite horror movies of all time, and the opening sequence to it’s sequel, ’28 Weeks Later’ still haunts me to this day – so I’ve been on the edge of my seat waiting for the third movie in the franchise to be released (especially after the trailer dropped a few months ago and gave me literal goosebumps.) I caught an afternoon screening of this one shortly after it came out and am happy to report it’s also incredible – scary and moving all at once – and I’m looking forward to the planned two films that I believe are meant to wrap up the whole franchise.
__________
I believe that’s everything! What a great month for even greater finds/purchases.
Next week, I’ll have my very fond farewell to the month of June in it’s entirety before I share some more staples from my Summer wardrobe and some new makeup finds/brands I’ve been obsessing over – just in time for the Fourth of July!
Until then – have a great weekend, everyone!
