OOTD: Marina Maxi

Despite the recent weather, I’ve been doing my best to both manifest and embrace a New England Summer – be it with my weekend day trips and the places I visit, with the seafood-filled or lemon-lined dishes I eat, or with the outfits I put together for work and any time off I have in my schedule. I will not waste this most warm and beautiful times of year, regardless of whether or not it’s consistently raining each and every Saturday!

Case in point, this navy blue and white striped, ankle-length knit tube dress by A New Day that I wore for a breezy stroll around the marina in Northampton last week before Dan and I stopped by GOMBO for a tasting of their new seasonal menu additions (which were fantastic, by the way! I’ll be sharing a few photos a little later on this week!)

This stretchy, breathable fabric of this number is both form-flattering and extremely easy to dress up or down depending on the occasion, so if you’ve got any seaside weddings or more casual brunch plans over the next few weeks – this is a pretty good staple to have in your wardrobe. Whether you’re wearing heels or flats, showing off some shoulder or covering up a bit more, or you plan to go all-out with the seashell jewelry – this is a coastal-inspired piece I’m going to be wearing so much over the next couple of months and I’m excited to change it up a bit each and every time I do.

I kept the color palette neutral when I had this on this past time since the day/night were a little more laid-back and low-key. I paired this with my brown faux-leather slide sandals and my travel handbag that I had shared last month as it had been a lifesaver during my trip to Italy. I also threw on a few gold beaded bracelets because everything in my closet can benefit from a little more shine and sparkle!

And if you follow me on social media, you’re probably going to see this dress a lot more this Summer! I love it!
