OOTD: Minty, Misty Moments

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, everyone! It seemed fitting to kick off today’s holiday and what is shaping up to be another week of warmer, sunnier, and dare I say “Springier” weather here in New England with a look at one of the newer (and green!) additions to my wardrobe that I’m excited to wear more and more throughout the next few weeks and months since it’s great for both casual outings and more formal occasions (including Easter!)

This flowy, mint-colored, tulle maxi skirt from Dirholl (via Amazon) was a purchase I’d made earlier this month when looking for some dressier Springtime options for not only work, but for warmer days both here and in Las Vegas when I’m visiting Troy. As much as I love a good pair of tailored trousers or loose-fitting jeans on more relaxed days, I’ve been in need of a couple of longer skirts in order to better develop a capsule wardrobe for this time of year.

This skirt, which comes in a variety of colors that can be mixed and matched with pretty much everything – is great quality – from the weight of the fabric used (which isn’t flimsy or see-through at all!) to the comfortable, adjustable elastic waist and silky lining, to the perfectly cut length that does not drag on the ground when I wear this with flats or nicer sneakers/tennis shoes.

I had paired this one with my short-sleeved white turtleneck and cream-colored heels for a misty morning out in Deerfield with Dan over this past weekend – and I felt like a fairy tale Princess while wearing it! The skirt moves so beautifully with every turn and twirl, and the tulle does not itch or scratch the way other “flowy” skirts can.

And of course I’m wearing it again today to commemorate the holiday!
