OOTD: Hot Chocolate Wear

I am in full-blown “Last Minute Gift Shopping Mode” right now – picking up and wrapping those final items that give the gifts I’ve already painstakingly selected earlier this year that little something extra when I finally hand them to their respective recipients. While being in stores or scrolling through multiple feeds late at night might not sound ideal to some, I’ve found a few incredible things that otherwise may have slipped through the cracks – so I’ve been pretty content with my shopping results this year so far!

That’s not to say that all of my time is spend running holiday-related errands and finishing up things at my office before Christmas, of course. I had mentioned that just a couple of weeks ago, Dan and I had taken an afternoon to enjoy the post-snowstorm scenery in Shelburne Falls where we grabbed lunch and some hot chocolate just as the flakes began flying again.

While there, I wore two of my favorite cold weather pieces with some jeans and my knee-high boots. The first is this super warm, fleece-lined and baby blue pullover from The Black Dog. I had picked up this one while out in Boston with Troy a couple of years ago around this time since the jacket I’d been wearing for our day/evening in the city wasn’t doing the best of jobs at keeping me snug and warm. I threw this one on under my coat and voila! I was so much more comfortable.

The second is this wide, white knitted headband from COACH. I had written about this last year when compiling my monthly “Favorites” post – and I still love wearing it in the colder months – especially if my roots are a little overdue for a touch-up. It keeps my ears warm and hides any dull color along my scalp until I can get to my salon again.

And as always – I’ve got a festive manicure to tie it all together. That’s mandatory for me this time of year!

It’s a short blogging week for me next week due to Christmas, but I’ll be sharing my December 2024 favorites and my Top 10 photos from this past year before it’s time to wind down 2024 once and for all and get ready for New Years!

Enjoy your weekend, everyone!
