OOTD: Snowstorm Chic

Nothing gets you into the holiday spirit in New England quite like an impromptu heavy snowstorm that results in traffic delays and school/business closures! And with us being only just a few days into December, it seemed fitting that we got our first heavy snowfall of the year this week!

On Wednesday night after finishing up work, Dan and I headed back to Boston for what would be my second concert of the week. He had bought us tickets to see the Norwegian singer AURORA (who was absolutely phenomenal, by the way, She has the most incredible, mind-blowing voice!) at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway. I wasn’t sure how dressy an occasion it would be, but still wanted to look nice and put together – so I opted for this black and white flounce dress I had picked up on Amazon for my recent trip out to California. The white accents around the bottom, waist, and straps of the dress, which are somewhat hidden in the photos by my cardigan, are squiggly-line shaped – which makes this one extra cute in my opinion!

The cardigan in question, inspired by the famed and similar Chanel designs, was a gift I received in my teens and which I have loved and adored so much since then that I’ve gone above and beyond to keep it in pristine condition so it can still be worn with some regularity. It’s one of my favorite pieces to break out around the holidays!

The Prada handbag, a gift from my parents from many years ago and another accessory I love to have with me at all times around Christmas/New Years and through the Winter – also got to make an appearance that night!

And of course, I wouldn’t go out into a cold day without my fleece-lined, high-waist leggings and knee-high boots.

I digress, when Dan and I left Boston, it was raining – but we’d gotten the Winter advisory warnings on our phones as we made our way back towards the Pioneer Valley. After hitting the snowstorm head-on in the late night hours and having to considerably slow down to avoid crashing or sliding – we made it home shortly before 2AM and decided a snowfall photo shoot on the deserted Main Street in our neighborhood would be the perfect way to close out the evening/begin the following morning!

I think you can tell by the photos that I was having the best time!
