What do you do when your friend-neighbor-photographer is away in Arizona for a couple of weeks to help his absolute sweetheart of a grandmother get situated in her Fall/Winter home, but you have a really cute and seasonally-appropriate sweater you want to show off before you head to a Berkshires-based pumpkin & Halloween event?
You hand your boyfriend your phone and hope to the heavens above that he understands how lighting and angles work and that he can capture your outfit – in focus! – while making you look as decent as possible.
Thankfully, Troy was up to the task while he was visiting this past Friday afternoon as we were making our way to Stockbridge for the evening (and I’ll have those photos up a little later on this week!) He even found us a great backdrop as we made our way through Whately, Massachusetts – pulling over and posing me for a few photos outside of a historic inn that was decorated beautifully for the Fall.
The sweater in question was this buttery soft, long-sleeved and crew-necked number that comes in a lovely orange color and has a series of ghosts that go across from shoulder to shoulder. When I tell you that the amount of compliments I got on this one leading up to, during, and after the event we had visited was staggering – I’m not kidding at all! Everyone absolutely loved this (and so do I!)

I wore this sweater with a knitted mini skirt and knee-high boots, and because this one is also good at keeping me warm, I only carried a light jacket with me that I ended up not needing since it stayed cool (but not cold!) after the sun had set.
I’m going to be wearing this sweater a lot more leading up to Halloween – at work, out with friends, and for Halloween, of course! It’s one of my favorite impulse purchases I’ve made on Amazon in recent months, and I’m going to get my money’s worth out of it before I have to pack it away through next year!
