OOTD: Fall Spice Knits

Despite my ongoing efforts to manifest more Fall-esque weather in recent days/weeks, it has still been consistently hot out during the day, and the air conditioner in my apartment has remained on (and set to full blast) from the time I’m taking a break for lunch while working from home until I’m getting ready for bed at night. It looks like the temperatures may start to dip a little lower later on this week, but I’m definitely going to be getting some final wear out of my collection of mini dresses and shorts until then.

I haven’t unpacked all of my sweaters just yet, anyway!

But some resilient Summertime weather hasn’t stopped me from beginning to decorate my place in preparation for my favorite season and from incorporating more Autumnal-inspired shades into my wardrobe and accessories. For example, I finally had the opportunity to wear this white, black, mustard yellow and rusty red-striped, knee-length crochet dress from Nine West at the pumpkin patch outing I had with Dan last week.

Fully-lined but still lightweight and breathable (even in sunny and scorching conditions,) this dress matched the colors of the farm perfectly and was a comfy fit while I was moving around the patch and perusing different apple desserts they had on display within the farm’s main shop. My current manicure, which I got while in Orange County, also matched perfectly.

I kept it simple by wearing black flats with this one this time around, but I also have a pair of black matte kitten heels that I think would look really pretty when it comes time for me to debut the dress at the office within the next week or so. It’s super easy to dress up or down depending on the occasion!

And I’m looking forward to when I can wear this one with some of the new and uniquely patterned tights I’ve been waiting to take out of storage. The cooler weather can’t come soon enough!
