Greetings from 40,000 feet above the ground, everyone! I’m presently mid-flight with a complimentary orange juice in hand as I soar across the country and back to Southern California to start my extended vacation. I’m excited and quite proud of myself that I had the mind to charge all of my electronics prior to heading off to the airport this morning (because I’ve forgotten to do so more times than I care to admit!) so I’m not left going stir crazy,
Considering I’ll be in middle of the desert as August ends and September begins, and also because the new ‘Beetlejuice’ sequel is being released while I’m away, it seemed fitting to have one more Summer 2024 “Outfit of The Day” post that was inspired by both the Ghost With the Most and by the very first Barbie Doll ever created!
This black and white, one-piece and cut-out swimsuit from Tempt Me was a purchase I’d made early on this past season when I wanted something a little more “pinup-esque” to wear to the pool or the beach. With adjustable straps, a cute bow in the front, and slimming material that smooths and shapes my body while not making the suit uncomfortable or weighing it down – I’ve felt so confident wearing this one when lounging and splashing around this year.
And in keeping up with the black and white striped look/theme, I recently grabbed this wide-brimmed, floppy hat at Target to protect my scalp. It matches perfectly. But the red lip and the black heels? Those were just for fun for these photos.

I’m looking forward to sharing some of my transitional Summer-to-Fall pieces in the coming weeks before I jump head-first into my updated and refreshed Autumnal wardrobe again. I’ve got so much new stuff to talk about!
A little later on this week, I’ll be taking a break from soaking up the sun to share a few of my favorite finds/purchases from this past month, as well as a look back on all of August’s adventures as we get ready to dive into all things Pumpkin Spice this coming weekend!
