I only just returned from Maine yesterday evening after what has been an absolutely incredible and action-packed weekend, and am already jumping head-first back into work and all the missed voicemails/e-mails that were received during my slightly-extended holiday absence- but despite how tired and how unmotivated I feel right now (and it should quickly be resolved with another cup of coffee!)– I still wanted to take some time to talk about my favorite monthly products, purchases and miscellaneous odds & ends as we begin to wrap up May 2024 and prepare to launch right into June 1st this coming weekend.
That’s right, everyone- it’s time for this month’s “Favorite Things” roundup- and this time I’ve got a great assortment of body care, skin care, miracle makeup and some seriously chic and retro-inspired clothing options I’ve been loving and living for.
As is tradition, I’ll be sharing photos first before I get into the things I adored and enjoyed but that weren’t particularly photogenic for the blog- so let’s get right into it!

When it came time to put together my first of many festival fits for the 2024 season, I had wanted to lean into some retro rocker, 1970s “Almost Famous” vibes so that I could be comfortable but still look great while I danced along to music, indulged in some of the food and beverage options, and posed for oh-so-many photos with friends I encountered throughout the weekend festivities.
I spotted these super flared and stretchy jeans from Classic Rock Couture earlier this month and knew I had to have a pair. The company, based out of Arizona, specializes in and actively celebrates recreating the magic of 1970s glam rocker style with denim pieces, boldly patterned jumpsuits, bomber jackets and so much more- and it’s all perfect to wear to your next live music event given how comfortable everything is.
The “Summer Breeze Flares” include an embroidered sunrise motif on the lower back and colorful desert-hued panels along the flared pantlegs- and they were super easy to pair with a simple white tank top or tee shirt and/or some stylish and low-heeled cowboy boots to keep the flared sections from dragging on the ground since these can fit a little longer on shorter torsos.
I’m looking forward to doing some more shopping on the CRC website soon. They have so much cool stuff!

I was gifted this beautifully scented body wash in a PR box earlier this month, and have been obsessed with it ever since. Made by KORRES– this olive oil-infused, foaming and deeply hydrating body wash keeps my skin moisturized, smooth and lightly fragranced for hours after each shower. Despite having Olive Oil listed in the name and the ingredients- this wash doesn’t leave behind any greasy residue or pore-clogging excess oils as it repairs and conditions even the most stubborn of dry skin.
But please, if and when you purchase this- don’t mistake it for real olive oil you can cook with! I recently saw the aftermath of that mix-up on social media and the results were insane. This one is strictly for just the outside of your body!

As the seasons change and as I get older- I have to adjust my skincare products to match my needs accordingly. Dryness? Acne or blemishes? Fine lines? I’ve stocked up on carefully researched and tested products for everything depending on how I’m feeling when I look in the mirror each day or night.
So with Summer on the horizon, my current skincare concern is combating dullness since both the sun and ample amounts of sunscreen being reapplied can make my complexion look a little less “lively” during the hotter months.
I had this bakuchiol & hyaluronic acid-infused daily serum by InnBeauty Project recommended to me by a friend who was experiencing similar issues with their pores and the overall texture of their skin- and it has been an absolute game changer for me! The formula is cooling, quick-drying, and has given me consistently great results the longer I use it. My pores look smaller, my skin is brighter and clearer- and definitely smoother and softer, too!
Also? This formula smells like fruit punch- so it’s pretty perfect for the Summer!

Finally, I’ve been coveting the “sun kissed” look I’ve been seeing all over social media lately- where people are using makeup to give themselves a slightly flushed look (without the pain and long-term harm that comes with real sunburns.) I stumbled upon this cream/powder blush duo from Miss Fame Beauty that has given me the most beautiful, buildable and natural color and glow since I started using it across my cheekbones and nose every day. I’ve gotten so many compliments when I wear these shades out and about.
And the packaging- a magnetic compact covered with a collage of images- is so, so cool and unique!

This month, I don’t have any odds and ends since I’ve been on the road and too busy to catch up on many movies and new releases- but I’m hoping that I’ll be able to have more to share by the time my June Favorites post rolls around near the end of next month. As always, feel free to drop me a line with any binge-worthy recommendations you think I should check out!
A little later on this week, I’m going to recap the month of May in its entirety because it’s been such a great one that needs a proper send-off before we keep flying forward into the Summertime.
’til then!
