Hello, April! It’s so good to see you! This week ahead is filled with birthdays (and celebrations for said birthdays), work obligations, and the possibility of some snow/sleet since Winter refuses to go out without a fight- but I love the sense of optimism I have at the beginning of each new month and my renowned determination to accomplish the goals I’ve outlined for them.
Last week, I had said that my plans for April were to get back on track with my health/fitness regimen, to practice more self-care, and to take some time to relax and unwind after temporarily hitting “pause” and putting many of those things on the back burner during the course of Troy’s trial.
This past weekend, I got started a little early with Easter dinner (Part I!) with my mom and brother. I say it was “Part I” since my Aunt and Uncle, who usually join us along with my cousins, had to postpone their visit due to an illness. We’ve rescheduled another dinner for the holiday this coming weekend- provided they’re feeling better!
And, much like she always does, my mom went all out with the courses, sides and desserts. In smaller portions, of course- since it was only the three of us- but we were definitely well-fed and definitely went home with leftovers!
A little later on this week I’ve got a look at my current Springtime makeup collection and some recaps of the birthday parties/dinners I’m attending over the next few days since they’re going to be loaded with good food and pretty drinks, and this coming weekend kicks off a bunch of bulb/flower shows and seasonal celebrations in and around New England that I’m going to try to snap some photos of!
