With how busy, bustling and, at times – unpredictable – as this past month has been – I’m not entirely surprised that it feels like it started and ended in the blink of an eye. I’ve been keeping up with company, legal proceedings, work and spontaneous weekend adventures (to break up the seriousness of my weekdays) to the best of my abilities and am hoping I’ll be able to just pause and take a breath in March – just in time for the beginning of Spring!
I started this month with a glimpse into my seasonal skincare and hair care regimen while I adjusted to my boyfriend’s (ongoing) stay with me and lined up some Valentine’s Day-themed posts in honor of his arrival – including sharing a local florist/greenhouse I absolutely adore, my favorite bar for an unconventional date night, and a newly purchased, floral-flouncy skirt for romantic occasions.
I watched the Super Bowl with plenty of great food – as is tradition – including making my own buffalo chicken dip that has been a favorite among friends and family for years, and treated myself to a self-care date at one of the coolest little spots in Vermont when I felt like I was starting to get a little stressed out as February progressed.
This month saw me adventuring back to upstate New York for a day trip, North Adams for a reunion with a friend I hadn’t seen in what felt like ages – and plenty more peeks into my kitchen and my closet when I wasn’t going, going, going non-stop!
This past weekend also had me visiting a Berkshires-based art museum I’d never been to before – but I’ll be sharing some photos from that adventure a little later on this week as we head into March!
Speaking of, while this month was somewhat tumultuous, disorganized, and chaotic at times (although I still had plenty of fun!) my hope for March is for some long-overdue justice, needed closure, warmer weather and moments of peace and tranquility as we shift into a new season.
I’m also looking forward to sharing the outcome of pending litigation and a story I’ve been holding onto for approximately five years leading up to this point – but I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself here. All I can say is that both I and, more specifically, Troy, could use all of the good vibes and extra positive thoughts anyone and everyone may have laying around right now as things move forward. I think I speak for both of us when I say it’d be so greatly appreciated!
But I digress. Here’s to February – an extended one this time around! – and to all of it’s good memories and moments of clarity!
See you all in March!
