There’s a quote I’ve seen/heard making the rounds on social media as of late, and I think it applies to me perfectly this time of year: “In September, you’re a Fall girl, and then October, a Halloween girl. November you’re a Christmas girl, with the exception of one day – Thanksgiving – where you become a Fall girl again, and then December you’re a Christmas girl.”
And sure, while I haven’t started decorating my apartment or setting up my Christmas tree and lights just yet, it’ll definitely be happening within the next couple of weeks as I begin to pack up my Autumnal décor and accessories to put back into storage for another year. The holiday season is truly and officially upon us!
In the meantime, I’ve been easing into my more festive attire. I’m not talking about ugly Christmas sweaters or Santa hats before we’ve even made it into December, but casual, comfy pieces that also serve as a preview of the seasonal excitement ahead. This super soft t-shirt has been one of my favorite newer additions to my collection this year.
With rolled sleeves, plenty of length at the bottom that can be tucked-in or tied depending on the look I’m trying to go for at any given time, and “Merry, Merry, Merry” written in flannel-printed cursive on the front- this one is really cute and very appropriate for the days/weeks leading up to Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I recently wore this during a daytime outing with Dan to Vermont, where I introduced him to the Hartness House– an inn which has been a treasured getaway of mine since I was a kid, and which I’ll talk about a little later on this week.
While the sun was out around the house’s grounds, I could wear this shirt with some jeans, boots, and a fluffy Winter hat, but I definitely brought a heavier coat to throw on when that Daylight Savings Time/early sunset kicked in and the temperatures up North dropped pretty quickly.
And any time I can wear a classic red lip is a good day, for sure! It’s my signature look this time of year!
I’m excited to share a few more festive and unique pieces from my wardrobe over the next few weeks- including some outerwear I’ve been really looking forward to writing about!
