I haven’t had much need for sweaters here in Southern California. It’s been sunny and warm every single day since my arrival a couple of weeks ago- and any clouds, fog or early morning precipitation is usually cleared up by the time I step outside to start my day. I’m so not used to wearing just shorts and t-shirts out and about in October! It feels so strange!
But I know that when I head back to the East Coast in another week, I’m likely to be stepping right back into the crisp Autumnal air and what I’m sure will be plenty of rain puddles that I’m used to this time of year in New England- and luckily I’m coming back prepared.
An oversized sweater will never go out of style as far as I’m concerned. They serve their purpose of keeping you warm, and they can be dressed up or down with ease depending on the occasion- whether you’re going to the pumpkin patch with your girlfriends, heading to a cider tasting tour with your significant other, or just lounging around the house and/or working remotely on a chilly Fall day. This white knitted sweater dress, with a crew neck collar from ANRABESS has been one of my favorite purchases from earlier this season. It’s super soft, cozy and looks great with leggings, jeans, boots or flats.

I wore this one with bare legs before heading off to SoCal (and before the temperatures reportedly dropped in Massachusetts right after I’d left!) opting to pair it with some dark brown, classic riding boots from Amazon Essentials. These took a few wears to break in after I’d purchased them- but now they are so comfortable and go so well with pretty much everything in my Fall wardrobe right now!
As much fun as I’m having here out West, I’m excited to share more of my seasonal closet picks from back home. I’ve amassed quite a collection of accessories and jackets I’ve been loving and living in as of late!
