Good Afternoon, everyone- although it’s still morning where I am right now. Greetings from beautiful and sunny San Diego! I got into town on Saturday afternoon after a rather bumpy flight as we passed over a series of storms and high winds throughout the Midwest. Although I was feeling a little groggy and nauseous by the time we touched down from getting jostled around so much- it quickly went away once I got settled into my beloved home-away-from-home and started stopping by some of my favorite spots and neighborhoods to stretch my legs.
I’m presently staying down by Seaport Village, which I haven’t visited in years. It’s close to the Convention Center, where Troy is working for the next few days before he and I repack our bags and head up to Orange County- so I’ve been having so much fun shopping and eating at places like Margaritas Kitchen & Cantina or San Diego Burger Co., when I’m not walking for miles and taking in the West Coast Autumnal vibes (i.e. so many pumpkins everywhere!)
Last night, after getting my sleep schedule under control to the best of my ability (the time zone changes will get you every single time,) I went out with my dear friend Eric and his pug- sweet little Chamaco- in Old Town for tacos at Tuetano Taqueria and then late night lattes at Lestat’s. It’s always so good to see him and catch up. He’s the best!
I’m working remotely today, and for the remainder of the week- and it’s taking me a hot minute to get used to the East Coast hours vs. West Coast schedule/vibes- but so far, so good! We’ll see how I feel by Friday, of course. I may be singing a different tune after a few days of waking up well before sunrise!
A little later on this week I’m going to have a look inside my Fall makeup collection and a seasonal recipe to share while I’m on the road- but I’ve got plenty more photos and adventures to share in the days/weeks ahead, so stay tuned!
xo
