I can’t believe that in a couple of days we’ll be jumping right into my favorite month and time of the year and that I’ll be on the West Coast when we do! I adore October, and I’m particularly excited for the new places and adventures I’m going to have for this year’s Halloween season while I’m in Southern California- but I also love September very, very much- and bidding farewell to it for another year is never easy!
I’ll have my full review of all of this past month’s trips and excursions up on the blog by the end of the week, but first I wanted to share some of my favorite products, purchases and things I’ve been binge-watching throughout the last few weeks that have made this a September to remember for sure.
And of course there’s plenty of pumpkin-scented-everything- so let’s get right into it!

Just because it’s Fall doesn’t mean I’m going to skip out on proper exfoliation. If anything, staying on point with my skin care is a top priority this time of year when the temperatures start to drop and the air gets a little more brisk and dry. Of course, I also like to smell seasonal- so this pumpkin spice-scented sugar body scrub from NCLA Beauty has been one of my favorites to indulge in a couple of times a week to keep my arms and legs smooth, soft and ready for cozy sweaters and boots.
NCLA just released a cinnamon bun-scented scrub, too- which is definitely going in my cart this week!

Of course it’s never quite Fall until I’ve picked up some candles, lotion and pocket-sized hand sanitizer from Bath & Body Works. These two PocketBac sanitizers in the ‘Pumpkin Pecan Waffles’ and ‘Pumpkin Cupcake’ scents are my favorites to keep on hand in my purse since they disinfect my hands without drying them out- but also make my skin smell amazing.
There’s a couple of Fall-inspired packs of 5 that are available right now for only $8- as well as a ton of cute cases to store them in- and I highly recommend stocking up since it’ll be cold and flu season again before we know it!

I love a good de-puffing and hydrating eye mask, especially when I travel- since I can just stick them on while I’m inflight or starting a road trip and look/feel awake and alert by the time I reach my destination. A pair of these “Pumpkin Fresh Peeper” masks from BLAQ are definitely going into my carry-on this weekend. Infused with pumpkin fruit enzymes, red algae and konjac- these masks are meant to reduce dark circles, puffiness and fine lines.
And that sounds perfect for an early morning cross-country flight!

And finally, I knew I wanted an olive green satchel purse for the Fall season to replace my straw bucket bag from the Summer without sacrificing comfort or space. I got lucky during a recent stop at Kohls when I stumbled on this mini tote bag from Sonoma. It’s small enough to carry anywhere without being bulky or getting in the way- and it has plenty of secure storage that fits all of my essentials for work, travel, nights out, etc.
And how cute is the little tassel attached to it?
And while that may be all for photogenic favorites for September 2023- a couple of other things made my list, too!
– MUSIC/MOVIES/TELEVISION –
‘Ahsoka’ – While I missed out on the animated ‘Star Wars’ series that tie so many plots and characters together, I’ve still been loving the most recent live-action show (available with new weekly episodes on Disney+) based on the beloved ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ character. Rosario Dawson is brilliant as always, the storytelling is compelling- and I’m living for certain cameos of actors/characters that have been long overdue for their redemption/comeback.
‘Daryl Dixon’ – Another spinoff that is fairly new but has been surprisingly good is the latest in ‘The Walking Dead’ universe. This one follows fan-favorite Daryl Dixon as he navigates post-apocalyptic France, presumably on his quest to find his missing family/friends (Rick and Michonne are back next year!) The scenery is gorgeous, the villains are intriguing, and the new characters he’s met on the way to assist him have been really fun to watch as we learn their back stories. I’m 100% in.
And there it is, my ‘Favorite Things’ for September! It’s a pretty good, seasonally-appropriate collection of random things, if I do say so myself. We’ll have to see what spooky items make the list in October!
