Last Lobsters of The Season…

With a planned trip to New Jersey and the Jersey Shore happening in just a few short days (and I’ve been keeping an eye on Hurricane Lee’s path as it starts to make its way up the East Coast,) this week is all about tying up loose ends at work and with errands/last minute to-dos so that I can enjoy my extended weekend away without distraction.

So naturally, this past weekend was spent tidying up my apartment, restocking my cupboards and cabinets- and livening up my space for the Fall. My bedroom and bathroom are now various shades of dark green and burnt orange, and there is more than one decorative pumpkin in my living room and kitchen. All I need to do is light some fall-inspired candles and the mood is set through Thanksgiving!

But these last few days also saw me heading up to Hampton Beach for their annual Seafood Festival– which finally returned in 2022 after a hiatus for a couple of years due to the pandemic. While I couldn’t make it last year since I was traveling- I freed my Saturday up this time around so that I could actually go and partake in different seafood vendors and buy significantly marked down beach goods and clothing before the local businesses/shops closed down for the season. I’ve found some absolute gems for my wardrobe in recent years for a steal since its all merchandise that needs to go before the colder months start- you just have to know where to look!

The sun was shining and it was very, very hot on Saturday, so I ended up only staying for a short while before calling it a day- but I managed to find great new pants and some new tops both for work and more casual days (and I’m sure I’ll be sharing them on the blog soon!) as well as a couple of gifts for friends I’ll be seeing in a few weeks- all while enjoying freshly squeezed lemonade on the boardwalk and lobster empanadas from The Purple Urchin.

I’m hoping that if I can make it to the 2024 festival, I’ll have a little more time to look around so I can snag even more stuff and enjoy even more food- including some clam chowder if its not as hot out next time!
