OOTD: Manifesting Fall

With my dear friend/neighbor/photographer/mixologist, Dan (he’s a man of many titles and talents!) recovering from a recent illness and myself having been traveling all over New England over the past few days- we haven’t had time to get together recently for any outings or photo shoot adventures. As a result, I’m left to my own devices- which is basically selfies with a cell phone while I’m on the road. I’m doing my best over here!

That being said, I wanted to spotlight the softest and most comfortable oversized t-shirt that has made an appearance on ‘Coffee & Chiffon’ before, specifically in my ‘Favorite Things’ round-up from last October. This impulse purchase from Kohl’s is still in great shape and going strong- and given the ongoing scorching temperatures here in the Northeast- seemed like a more appropriate thing to wear during my recent apple orchard outing than, say, a sweater/hoodie and boots. I love a good fashion moment as much as the next person, but not at the risk of getting heat stroke!

So instead, I wore denim shorts and sneakers with this one while I sipped iced cider in Mystic, Connecticut (I’ll have some photos from my day up on the blog later on this week) and reapplied sunscreen to any and all exposed skin. My friends are familiar with this top, but still appreciated my dedication in willing Fall into existence despite the very Summery conditions.

You can find a ton of variations/customizations of this shirt online, specifically on places like Etsy- where they also have hoodie, sticker, water bottle, etc. versions available to purchase.

I’m glad I got to bring this one out of storage to wear/show-off again, and I’m looking forward to when it cools down enough where I can actually start sporting more of my favorite cozy, Autumnal looks. By then, Dan and I will be able to take much better photos of them than the ones I took here!
