A Month to Remember: June 2023

It’s hard to say goodbye to a month that has been so full of fun, friends, adventures, seeing new places and indulging in great food and drinks. I never want it to end, but end it must- and so now, with only a few hours left of June 2023- I wanted to give it a proper send-off before I dive into July, a long weekend and plenty of more Summertime fun in and around New England!

I had started June by coming off of an extended stay in New Hampshire and Maine while Troy was in town. I am still dreamily looking back on warm days/nights on the boardwalk, the smell of salty air and fried dough, and long drives along the coast as we headed back to the Pioneer Valley to spend time with his family and visit some friends out in the Berkshires during his stay.

I’d go on to spend more time in New Hampshire during June, returning after a half day at work specifically to get a lobster roll at one of my favorite spots in North Hampton, but the quest for good lobster wouldn’t end there! Dan and I also ventured to one of the cutest and most picturesque seaside shacks in Connecticut where I had one of the best lunches of my life while also posing for some really great photos.

I also hopped on a boat and visited Provincetown this month– where my friend Sean and I spent a rainy but warm day dining, shopping, checking out local art and hiking to the very tip of Cape Cod and Massachusetts! Despite California’s ‘June Gloom’ making it’s way to the Northeast near the end of the month- it was one of the most fun and spontaneous days I’ve ever had!

When I wasn’t sharing seasonal recipes, showing off my warm weather wardrobe or hosting a New England Summer-inspired giveaway (there’s still time to enter, by the way!) I was practicing some self-care with a quiet weekend in and an afternoon of pottery painting with my family as the month began to come to a close.

And here we are! Another long weekend is nearly here and I am so excited to jump into July! The coming month ahead will be spent mostly close to home (with plenty of beach trips planned, though!) but I have new local places to share, recipes to cook up, outfits to pose in- and a couple of collaborations/partnerships I’m really excited to be a part of that I am going to dive into more in-depth within the next couple of weeks!

There’s also the day I cleared on my schedule entirely for the ‘Oppenheimer’ and ‘Barbie’ movie releases! I’m going to eat so much popcorn that day.

So here is a tip of my wide-brimmed beach hat to the month of June- which was unforgettable and entirely too short for my liking!

And here’s to July being just as full of good memories and time well-spent with loved ones in beautiful and fun places!
